Has anyone installed a high-flow cat on a '87 - '97 F-250/F-350 w/460? If so:
Which unit did you purchase? Why?
Where did you purchase it?
How much did you pay?
Did you notice a difference? Power? Sound?

LAST EDITED ON 18-Aug-00 AT 03:31 AM (EST)[p]I installed a high flow convertor on my 88 F-150. Trust me it made a world of difference, I noticed the power increase immediately.
The convertor I used was from Summit Racing. It was a direct fit replacement kit they offered.
They may still offer them, I don't know. I believe it was made by Products For Power.
JC Whitney also sells the convertors as well, but I think most of theirs are all universals.
I believe my kit ran $170 but that was also for an inline 6 too. If you do order a cat YOU have to put it on. According to the muffler shop that did my "welding" they cannot BY FEDERAL LAW put on a convertor that was not purchased through them. (Kind of a stupid law I think, a convertor is a convertor right?)
Hotrod88:
Was that a two-in-one high flow converter? I've called around and the shops I have talked to say that have a high flow that eliminates to "two" with a "two-in-one" setup. One piece converter I guess. Kirk
