Question Add A Circuit Issues

So I'm a bit perplexed, I purchased a dashcam for my 2021 F450 and I would like to hardwire it to the truck. I purchased the hardwire kit for the dashcam, and it came with four "add a circuit" pigtails. I thought this was going to be a simple install, pull a fuse on the passengers side fuse panel, install the add a circuit, plug the hardwire kit in, and run the wires to the dashcam. However, this "add a circuit" will not push into any of the micro-fuse plugs. Seems like on the fuse panel the channel for the fuse is so "tight" that is will only allow for the fuse itself. I assume the outer plastic casing on the "add a circuit" is too thick for the plastic guides on the fuse panel.

Looking for suggestion, recommendations, etc. before I start trimming or breaking away casing or guides.

Most likely, your add-a-fuse pigtails are for a different type/size/style of fuse than the truck actually has installed in it.

First compare the plug-in base with a fuse to make sure the prongs all line up and are the same spacing and width. If everything checks out I'd start shaving off material until it fits. If none of that seems feasible you could try a different brand.

Thumbs up Problem Solved

Thanks, my impatience got the best of me, and I did just that, started nibbing off small pieces of the plastic until I could get it pushed in. Powers good and it's all buttoned up.
