Hello all from my little corner in chicopee.
My name is Patrick, new to the forum. This is my 2nd F150. I had to trade in my last one due to growing family and it only being a supercab. I do miss that truck, never gave me any issues.
In the interm, I had a 16 explorer and what a pos.... total lemon.
January of this year i finally pulled the trigger and bought another 15, though a supercrew. Drove 600 miles one way to pick her up..
She is a XL with a 3.5NA motor and 373 gearing. Center console and backup camera and sensors as well.
Bought her as a Ford C.P.O. , though the selling dealership missed a few things on the 172 point checklist. Low mileage when I picked her up and just before all the truck prices exploded.
stop by and say hi.
Morning Patrick. Welcome to FTE and the MA Chapter. Nice thing about the CPO is the warranty. Any Ford dealer has to honor it. You won't have to drive 600 miles to have it fixed.
Hey Patrick...Welcome to FTE and the Massachusetts Chapter!!! I'm not sure how I missed your post...but...I'll chalk it up to old age!!!
Chicopee...home of Blue Seal kielbasa...and...Millie's Pierogis...been know to pig out on both from time to time.
Gotta watch out for the CPO...as you've found out...dealers sometimes cut corners.
Hope you enjoy your stay!!!
LOL... no worries, and Millie's pierogis are the best!!!
I'm glad to have the CPO , it has definitely come in handy this past month. Vacuum related issues they are trying to track down.. no bueno with having small kids in my truck all the time. Brakes are sketchy at best.

Good afternoon, and thank you!
That part of C.P.O. is what finally sold me on buying this truck. I didn't want to have to drive 10+ hours or tow it that long.
Evening Patrick...I see you haven't officially joined the chapter yet. Scroll to the top of this page and just under the dark blue bar where you see Massachusetts Chapter...click on Join Chapter and Don will get you taken care of. He's been a bit under the weather recently and doesn't check in as often...but...he'll get to it eventually. Stop by our B/S Thread and toss some around.
You are welcome and by the way, if you hear some of this crew growling and snarling, it is normal. their bark is worse and most of them have no teeth so they can't bite! LOL
Also they have had their rabies but distemper I am not sure about. OH and mad Cor runs rampant! LOL
Update: dropped my toy off at the dealership yesterday early for the vacuum leak. Normally I use after hour but something told me to go in early. Talking to my normal advisor, there was a senior tech waiting behind me. We were discussing how the selling dealership kept bringing up "the steering shaft " over and over when I was questioning about the alignment.
the tech said I peaked his curiosity so we went out to her together.
Popped the hood and fired her up, and you can actually hear the vacuum leak.
He hears the "knock " by the passenger wheel well, thinks its the phasers. And finally grabs the steering shaft. He thinks both u joints are junk, but a previous tech said they were fine.
Fastest diagnostic I've ever had..
Told the advisor that I want THAT tech working on my baby.
Will let you know how it goes....
Afternoon Patrick...where'd you go...Marcotte or Sarat??? Sounds like you've got a good tech that you were talking to...one with good experience. Hopefully there are no issues getting it fixed.
Check out our BS Thread...your posts will gain more traction...let the guys and gals get to know you.
