I have a 302 from an 89 F150 in my 48 F3, i just got it on the road and it's not charging. Upon looking up the wiring diagram I realized that I am a jackass and thought that the green/r wire was for the charging gauge, but was actually the exciter wire. However the donor truck is long gone so I can't check where it went, nor do I know much about alternators. I'm unsure what the diagram means by "hot in run". I'm assuming this just goes to the active/run pole ignition switch, but I just wanted to check if that's true or not.
