89 F150 Front axle question

89 F150 Front axle question
Trying to increase front axle width by 2 inches. It is quite simple to do except the right (passenger side) halfshaft is too short. Do all Dana 44 IFS axles have the same length halfshaft? I am referring to the section between the 2 u-joints with the slip joint. Any help would be appreciated.
