ABS and traction control lights - code C1440
Hello all, new to the forum and I have a 2014 F150 SuperCab with the 5.0L and it's 4x4 with 51,000 miles. During the winter I had the code C1440 show up after driving one day and the ABS service light and service traction control light came on. After doing some research I concluded it must have been the HCU for the ABS system. I replaced it with a low mileage used unit and the lights cleared and all was well for a few months. Now the lights have been coming back on at random and showing the same code again. It will generally clear after turning the truck off and restarting it but comes back on randomly. Haven't been able to pattern it. Is there something else that could cause this or did I just get bad luck with another faulty unit? I would appreciate any help. I have ForScan also if any other info is needed.
