I need to check the codes on my 91 F350. The link in the tech info is not working, can someone shoot me a link to a working description of the whole process. I know the basics but I don’t have a manual to make sure I follow all the steps.
thanks all
Without a code reader, insert a jumper wire (paperclip) between the Self Test-In and Sig RTN pins on the EEC TEST connector found under the hood behind the air filter box.
Then turn the key to run and count the flashes on the check engine light. You can cycle the key as many times as necessary to get the correct count.
No code reader, thanks for the quick reply, I wasn’t sure which pins to jump, so I thank you for the visual!
.
Also make sure motor is warmed up. And ALL accessories are off, lights, radio, heater.
Also pay attention to the codes. You will only get 3 digit codes.
