I am rewiring a 1968 F250 Camper Special due to several electrical issues. Last night I finished removing the original wiring in advance of installing an American Autowire 510368 harness. Can anyone explain what the section of the original harness in the picture is for? I have never seen wires feed into a rubber block like this before. The auxiliary tank was removed from the truck when I bought it. It appears the rubber block in the picture helps hold the auxiliary tank. Why those electrical wires are embedded in that rubber block is something I am curious about.
Thanks!
Ford in their infinite wisdom found it easier to make one harness for everything they offered and when parts were not needed they would just terminate them. I have 2020 Tundra that did not come with all the bells and whistles, But when you pull the dash apart all the connectors for those upgrades are there.
