Cannot get my key fobs to program, took it to the dealer and even bought a new one. They cannot get them to lock or unlock the doors. They keypad on the door works fine, the FOBS just won’t program. Their truck is new to me so looking for suggestions on what to look for.
thanks

Take the bottom tray out of the left hand area of the center console there is a indentation for the key to go. If you have the jump seat I think it’s in the cup holder just take the bottom out of it.
If you are the second owner you might want to erase all know keys and just program the ones you have in your pocket. I am pretty sure the dealer can do this. I know there is a limit on how many keys can be programed to your truck. Maybe the original owner had a bunch of them for some reason or another?
I am assuming you have at least one key that works maybe two and are trying to program another one. You need two masters to program a third key.
What I have is the key the dealer gave me when I bought the truck… it would not program. So I bought another key from the dealer, they could not get the new fob or old fob to program. So now I have two key fobs that don’t lock or unlock squat.

Bring it back and tell them to fix it. The truck starts and runs on either key?
If the key won't lock or unlock the doors, then there is something wrong with the programming and only the dealer or a very highly competent locksmith can fix is (maybe). Usually for this, the dealer has to re-program the key to work with the truck. If they can't do it or don't know how to do it, take it to another dealer that knows how to do it. Since you appear to only have one of the original keys, they will have to program a second key for you since you have to have two keys to do it yourself. Almost any dealer will know how to fix the issue. Good luck!!!
does not have remote start… truck runs on both keys… can’t get the doors to lock or unlock.
Well at least that works, now to figure out the true issue. What trim level of truck is this? The fobs are different frequency based on options. The keys will freely program as it's just the 80bit signal PATS is looking for.

it’s a Lariat. I have tried it myself and can’t get it to work. I’m guessing the dealer just tried the same way I did. Probably need to take it back or maybe have another dealer try it.
If you only had one key to begin with as stated above you can not make a second. The dealer should have know this. They can hook it up to their computer and program the keys to work. If not then another dealer or you have a bad PATS module.

So under the key blade what is the frequency listed?if the fob is showing 315mhz you will not be able to program it ( most lariats were remote start optioned). I suspect this truck does have have remote start and the higher frequency receiver. The wrong FOBS are being used and all you can program is the key function. The 4 button key is 902mhz. Two easy ways to confirm this, post the part number off the TPMS/Keyless receiver ( located above the headliner at the rear window on the passenger side) or check the productivity screen and go to vehicle options and look for remote start.

found the FCC id number and checked it, both remotes are 902.
i wondering if I have all keys cleared the pats system and then have the new ones reprogrammed
Did you check the setting screens to see if you had remote start?
I would clear all keys and just reprogram the two in your hands. As stated before the PO might have had a lot of keys programed.
just checked and it says I have remote so I think I’ll just have everything cleared out of it and see if I can get it to work or my other thought was the transmitter module might not be working
