Good Morning Everybody!

Rich. That's fine. I may have to make a run to Springfield to pick up some shocks about that time, so let me know when you're swinging through. I might be able to make your trip shorter if the shocks get there in time.

More cutting, grinding and welding today. Then load everything up and park the hauler where it belongs, then head up to St. Louis to load the other hauler and get down the road.

Howdy all. BJ, maybe my O'Fallon IBT can help you out with the hose, if it is JIC, pipe or other common hydraulic fittings. I'm off today and tomorrow for Patty's surgery on her three hernias. Have a great day all.

Morning folks, Alan it should, and "should" be a relative loose and constant moving term this morning. Lol Penny is moving slow on here B day. Well it is her B day so if she wants to be methodical with everything this AM so be it. I think we are getting on the road around 9 or 930 ish. Where are you going in Spg to PU your shocks? Call or text (lol) me when your shocks are ready to PU and maybe we can time it out right. Thanks.

Things are just hopping around here this month...

Grease Monkey got sick at work and had to be picked up Monday evening. Long story short - we wound up having to take her to the adult urgent care next door to *** South yesterday afternoon and didn't get home until early this morning. Both ears are infected and the infection has spread into the nearby mastoid bones. Lots of antibiotics and probably another trip to the ENT in the immediate future. Poor kid - she inherited my Dad's defective Eustachian tubes so she winds up with frequent ear infections along with having to have permanent tubes in her ears since she was a kid.

I spent the most of the holiday weekend trying to find an affordable washing machine that was not on back-order to replace the one in Mom's house that got zapped in the last round of thunderstorms we had. I found one, but for a lot more than she was able to spend, so I paid for it and she's going to pay us back. Yes - I'm letting Mom pay me back because that's the only way I could keep her from using the only credit card she has left since Dad died. Stubborn that one is...

Afternoon Everyone!

As soon as I screw the boards down, the trailer floor is done! Then to clean up and get everything back in the trailer and the hauler parked where it belongs.

Floor is done, EQ is loaded, hauler is parked back in it's spot and most of the stuff is loaded in the pick up to head to St. Louis. Now I'm not leaving until tomorrow and I may not even have a show this weekend because the parts didn't come in today. If they don't show up by tomorrow, we may as well cancel. It doesn't matter how good the truck runs if there's only three wheels on it.

The parts store called and their supplier shorted me two shocks. They ordered four, the supplier said they shipped four, but only two showed up. Once I get those parts on the trailer, I hope this thing leaves me alone for a little bit.

That sucks Alan. Vendors are having trouble getting stuff everywhere. Sure wish we'd get back to "Like it use to be".

Good Morning Everybody!

I'm about to head out to St. Louis. I hope the parts for 'Sickness show up today, or there won't be much sense in us driving up to the show. I guess we'll see what happens today.

good morning missouri.. hope your parts get there alan... ... i guess parts are getting scarce everywhere.. my neighbor has been waiting for a already paid for engine (a 350 5.7 litre chevy engine) for well over a month.. i always thought this is a very common engine. and hard for me to believe that jasper engines dont have any in stock and it will takes weeks to build one.. have times changed that much or ... are the parts suppliers stocking less so they can explain the large rise in the cost of everything.. i am glad i dont have waiting customers that i need to explain why it takes so long to fix a truck

I'll wave as you drive by Alan. Not really, I'm off I 70 but it's the thought that counts.

RC that is a little odd that Jasper can't get a motor built in a month? I guess today's "On Demand Only" stocking system has cleared out the buildings full of engines.

Part of the supply problem is low inventories and the other is a shortage of truck drivers. I've got 2 kids working for Dollar General and the trucks are running about 3 days behind and usually only have half of what they should.

I made it to the weekend and am hoping that it goes by without anything breaking, people getting sick, or any other tragedy.
