payload capacity f150

Just used the VIN decoder. Doesn't seem to give payload capacity for the specific truck. Gives a range which is not useful as I need to know the specific payload capacity because I want to be legal when I put my truck camper on it. Any suggestions other than looking at the VIN label on the truck door. Hoping to avoid driving around the pacific northwest looking at a bunch of doors at different dealerships. thanks

No other way to get that information that I know of except to ask the dealership when you find one online to go out and take a picture of it and send to you. I wish all the dealers would put a picture of this sticker on their website for each truck along with all of the other photos they post.

When I bought my current F350, my goal was to maximize my payload for my slide in truck camper and that is the way I had to do it.

There was once a calculator for that posted somewhere here, but I think it was an "estimate" only anyway. If you "must" be below the rating and you are close, there's nothing that substitutes for that door-frame sticker.

Just for fun, how much payload do you need? Are you looking for the SuperCrew HDPP package, which is very rare, or what?

Call the dealer and ask them to take a picture of the Yellow Tire and Loading label and email it to you. That's what I did many times.
