I'm new to the fridge scene. I'm starting on my '59 short fleetside. I built a 56 a few years ago (See signature). I used Mid Fifty almost exclusively. They were great. I'm finding that the options are pretty slim for these years. I'm aware of the usual (LMC, Dennis Carpenter, Macs, etc).
I'm mainly talking about body parts, trim, weatherstripping, etc. Are there any that cater to the Fridge years?
Welcome to the Fridge Family. Many of us had to design and produce our own parts. Luckily more and more body parts are being produced but this is slow due to less demand for the ‘forgotten years’. Just a few years ago most peeps had to make cab corners out of all sorts of things, now they are reproduced (glad I waited). For the things I couldn’t make, i was able to find using FB group “Those Guys and Gals Truck Club” sometimes other truck owners were making them, others were used parts in very good shape.
Midfity does sell the 1957-1960 (actually through 1966) Styleside rear bed lower corner end caps. They even have the small drain hole along the bottom edge like original.
