Not really...neutral switch? It just mounts to sthe shift shaft lever at the trans so, maybe neutral switch? Range selector sensor? I've always heard it refered to by the MLPS though.
Thanks for the quick reply! He did say he has (or can get) a neutral safety switch, but had no pics to tell me where it is located. Guess I will have to call the dealer. ($$$$$$$)
After reading many of the e4od posts here I thought it would be the logical thing to try.
The trans shifts hard and seems to hunt for the proper gear sometime. It seems to like to shift to early especially with O/D engaged. Around 2 months ago I was driving hy-way speeds for around 20 min. and O/D stop working altogether. It started to work after it cooled down and I haven't put it in O/D since.
The tranny was rebuilt 60 thousand ks ago and has had 2 oil changes since.
