Before I go off all haphazard like I figured I would ask WHAT is this plug? Am I gonna damage anything if I try to snug it up a bit?
I have a small drip coming from the threads on it... I'm not an auto trans guy.
you shouldn't cause any issues with trying to tighten the lock nut only (hold the center adjuster). If the locknut is tight, you will have to replace it...and you SHOULDN'T have any issues as long as the adjuster doesn't move.
The lock nut is actually a one time use only piece that has sealant applied from the manufacturer. Get a new nut and like dlburch says, hold the adjusting screw in place and spin the lock nut off, install the new one. So easy,a cave man can do it.
