2001 Navigator fusebox question
I took the old box apart and it's essentially like a "printed circuit" board, made from die cut copper sheets that fit between plastic dividers...like a printed circuit designed to handle 12v battery power. It's an impressive bit of engineering.
So I ordered a box that had the same fuse/relay configuration, but it has a different part number (it says it will fit a Ford F250 F350)
I don't think I should put this in the Navigator...while the fuse/relay config is the same, plugs on the back and socket for GEM is the same...I can imagine that the assembly robot could be programmed to include/exclude circuits to make each fusebox proprietary to the specific model Ford.
Am I wrong? Anyone use a fusebox from a Ford F250/F350 in a Navigator or Expedition? Anything blow up?
The different part numbers are all I should need to know an F250/F350 doesn't have the same options as a Navigator or Expedition. The fuse boxes are "wired" differently for the different vehicles. End of story.
Sorry to waste anyone's time on this.
The other threads that dealt with this problem (fuse #14 blows with relay #2 in place) didn't conclude with a fix. No final answers were given.
I hope to set that right by determining what is causing the problem, and post the results.
At least, that's my intention.
