IMO holding off the federal goverment and/or military with your home arsenal has to be one of the most crackpot notions I've ever heard. Good riddance to Koresh et al.

Whoa big boy! We won't agree on Bambi. But you portray me as some anti-gun nut! Not true. If you want to blow of all that ammo in your f/a, not my concern.
My point is that although YOU might be able to exert muzzle control, most people can't. That makes 'em a hazard, to both of us. It sort of goes back to my point of licensure to buy firearms. If you can control your weapon, you should be able to have it.
When I was a child in Uncle Sams hit squad, I learned that being able to shoot faster doesn't make you any less dead. Being able to put the lead where you intend does. A guy who can put 'em in the ten ring every shot is a hell of a lot more scary than one who makes a lot of noise, but can't put the lead in place.
Before Uncle Sams hit squad times, I was a young boy shootin' at deer, antelope, elk, sheep, rabbits, and other assorted critters. Back then, the idea was putting meat on the table, and it was still referred to as SPORT. Being able to shoot Bambi over the horizon is not sport. And what you imply is shootin' just 'cause it makes you feel powerful. If you have too many deer on your place, that implies the need to have your buds come to your place for HUNTING (not just shootin') season, or even have the nice people from Game and Fish come by and deliver some venison to the jail. On edit: Or you're a lousy shot, which is an argument against you buying f/a weapons.
As for your poorly worded insult about anti-gunners and the second, fanatics with loud mouths tend to **** people off and make them want to put the fanatic in his/ her place. It attracts attention that we don't need.
So, what I think we have argued here is that you are a fanatic, **** people off, attract unwanted attention from people who want to portray us as nuts and have the power to vote in representation to stifle us, and you don't believe in the SPORT of hunting. Does that about sum it up?

Joe is big on lists - "good guys list, bad guys list, ect. If I had a list of things I don't miss, Joe would be on it. Just my opinion.

I think any ban on a gun is a bad idea. I don't want to see people who can't handle a certain gun have it but I won't stop them. There are a lot of people who have a drivers license but can't handle the rig they drive.

But then again, live by the sword, die by the sword.

And for all of you that would like outspoken people you don't agree with to be taken away maybe you need to think more. NRAJOE is just voicing his opinion in his own way. So what if you do or don't like his style. Not everyone may like yours.

I guess burning INNOCENT men/women/children at Waso is fine. Shooting an unarmed mother holding a baby is fine too at ruby ridge. What a bunck of sheep.

THe people at waco should have been arrested and tryed before a jury of thier peers. If it was handled differently that is what would have happened. It was a mistake to try to storm the compound in the first place, but hindsight is 20-20.
And our goverment has learned from this mistake.
Lets not forget Koreshes role in all of this. His surender, at any time would have saved all thier lives.

The people responsible for the deaths of those innocent women and children were the men in their lives.
