Well, finally got a chance to put on my linex'd bumpers and getting rid of the chrome. Debating on the 3m on the rocker to have the 2-tone look... also replaced the tow hooks, got them in anthracite to match my wheels.

Would love to see pics of the 3M rocker panels if you decide to do it. Ive been debating on doing the same.
To each their own. Never been a fan of dull back plastic. Been a pet peeve on every car I've owned except my 370z, which has none, except the grill in the front. Of course, dirty chrome doesn't look much better, but it can be shined up.
IDK, Gives it an understated base model look which I'm sure appeals to a large swath of truck aficionados. Same truck without the "look at me" chrome bling. I on the other hand am an old old school guy - can't have too much chrome!
Personally, I hate the chrome look. I also find chrome to be dangerous at times. I have experienced sun reflecting off the chrome causing visibility issues on various car, trucks and motorcycles. Get the right angle of sun hitting the chrome and reflecting into your eyes, BOOM! Instantly all you see is a white dot.
My 2013 BMW K1600GTL was a big problem with the two 'wings' at the front of the gas tank, designed to fold out to catch air and direct it to the driver. Start hitting a twisty road at the wrong time of day and would get all kinds of sun spots dancing across my eyes. Blacked those things right away.
Have had similar issues with chrome on cars and trucks. Most notably the inside dash vents on my 2016 F250 Lariat that were chromed. Drive the the sun behind you and the outside rings could catch the sun and reflect right into my eyes while driving.
Ordered my 2022 with the Lariat Sport Appearance Package (17K), that is supposed to have color matched grill, bumpers, mirror caps. Will figure something out to de-chrome the inside also.
I've seen several trucks over the years that had the Rhino Liner, Line-X treatment on the lower panels. I like it and think it makes a lot of sense in areas where a lot of road debris like snow, mud, rocks, Mag Chloride, salt get thrown on the vehicle.

I really like the look the OP got on this truck.
The chrome interior trim on the center console blinds me all the time. Thought about dipping the pieces black just to get rid of it.
