I was wondering what everyone runs their tires at on their expy.'s Also, what are the reasons for the certain psi levels that you run at? Thanks. I run mine at 30 psi in the front and 35 psi in the rear according to Ford specs., but am wondering if filling the front more would hurt? Thanks.
Thirty five for me all the way around. Feels mushy with anything less. My mom's husband just squeezed 70k out of a set of Firestones with 40 PSI on their Navi (go figure).
I was thinking about trying 40psi out, probably will once I get my expy back from the dealer (6k in repairs/fixes in 2 months!!! extended warranties are a good idea)
Will the increase in psi on the front wear the tire prematurely? I have been thinking about running 35 in the front, but have not yet because I am worried about tire wear. Does the AWD have anything to do withtire in the front?
40 psi on all tires. The tire max rating is 44 psi. My gas mileage seems to be a little better than most I've seen posted. Tires get rotated every 6k. The ride is good even with Continentals. The roads here are excellent or I would probably use less pressure for comfort.

you'll be fine. The only way it's going to wear funky is if you overinflate them enough to cause the center to bulge outward (around 60+PSI)
I've been running 35 in the front for the past two years and my tires are wearing right-on.
The AWD system distributes power up front when the rear wheels are slipping. The front PSI won't affect the system.

Matt and who1975, you both mention AWD. I just posted in another thread that I didn't realize some of these vehicles had AWD. I though they all had A4WD.....at least the 1999+ model vehicles. Do y'all have AWD?
As far as tire pressure goes, I run 35 all around (at least when I check and add to the pressure every few months), but I have Load Range D LT tires that thrive on more air.
You are right. What I meant to ask was about the A4wd. I have the 99 expy that has just A4wd, 4hi and 4lo. I think I am going to try the 35 up front based on BigMatt's and everyone else's recommendation. Thanks.
