300 six into a Broncoll ?

I have been concidering q 302 transplant into a Bronco ll. Lots of info available. I was wondering if anyone has tried to tranplant the 300 6? The C4 tranny will fit. I would prefer the 300 if it would fit.

Two thoughts leap immediately to mind on the 'fit' - the first is engine length . . . the 300 I6 is a 'longer' motor . . . the second is the radiator, the big six uses a larger radiator than most 8's.
Beyond those two considerations and finding a good set of motor mount adapters, the next consideration is in the oil pan clearance at the front cross members.

Never tried the change myself.

you can get a kit to stuff a 302 in there and It`s a tight fit, It sounds like a good Idea but I don`t know, the 300 is probley to long and with all the torque it makes it`ll probley be overkill for the light BroncoII, but hey Dude if you pulled it off you`d be the man of the hour LOL!!!!

On one of the Ranger sites (ford-trucks.com, I think) someone swapped a 300 into a B2 of early 80s vintage, IIRC.

The radiator went in front of the grille...then to the back end...the firewall was butchered as well.

In the end, the guy is trying to sell it (he got tired of it?) and he has no title for the butcher job anyway....
