Trying to figure out if I have a wheel bearing for bad or something. Truck is a 2019 F250 4wd with 24000 miles that has been babied it's entire life. Noticed today I was getting a really faint whine at slow speeds that changed tone when tapping the brakes. The sound was so faint I wouldn't have noticed it if the radio wouldn't have been off and the window down.
Jacked the wheel up and spun the tire and I'm hearing a thumping type sound that sounds like a tire lug rubbing on something or poorly for gears meshing together. There is nothing rubbing anywhere though. When I locked the hub in on that side the noise got much more noticeable.
I pulled the hub off and everything looks fine and there is no play anywhere that I notice.
I guess I can add this to the list of stuff going wrong with this truck.
A wheel bearing makes a noise like rum-rum-rum-rum at half wheel speed. It is very rhythmic. Not a whine.
What could be causing the meshing type noise I get when I spin the tire by hand? The other side doesn't do it so I know something is off with this side, I'll try to post a video but I didn't have much luck doing it the last time
got a video taken now I just got to figure out how to post it. The sound is more of a whiting, kind of like the sound you get if you let you hand slightly rub a plastic ran blade as it spins

Here's a link with the video, don't pay attention to the scraping sound from the brakes(they've done that since day one and I was told there is nothing wrong)but to the sound that is like an airplane
