2001 Psd Snowplow

I have a 2001 PSD, crew cab with a short box. I would like to mount a plow on it. Is anyone plowing snow with this model and if so, have you had any problems? ie. damage, loss of your warranty,etc. Also, what brand of snowplows are people using. Thanks in advance, Creek

It will void parts of your warranty. Ford doesn't allow for a plow on a crew cab with the PSD. Too much weight on the front axle.

Thanks John, I guess my question is, Do PSD owners mount plows on their crew cabs? Against Ford's advice, and are there any problems with doing that?

I'm putting a plow on my truck also. Is there a add a leaf for the front springs to help out with the weight.

I think their worried about the ball joints not holding up with the extra weight. Saying that your truck is a 2001 the warranty on all said parts is almost up anyways so whats the differance?

If I did it over again I would have gotten a extended cab with a 8ft box and did it anyways.
