SYNC updates by USB question
Downloaded a newer version and copied it to thumb drive. Inserted thumb drive while truck is running in Park as called for. Screen says something like "USB drive inserted". Then nothing happens. Nothing changes. No progress bar or any command line to kick start the process.
Am I missing something?

Their instructions aren’t very good, put another way you have to follow them exactly. Once you download the file on the computer you have to unzip it to the USB drive when you do it creates a couple of files, and a directory. It’s shows you what the files on the USB should look like. One of the files it creates is the execution file that the truck reads and starts the installation process.
one thing I would say, if you are installing the latest update I would wait, it screws up SiriusXM travelink, quite a few posts on the Lincoln and F150 forums about this, it screwed mine up as well.
