I have not been on here in a long time, but I now have a 2019 f250 Plat. The batteries died overnight. This happend about 6 months ago also at my parents in Missouri. Charged it up that morning we where heading back to Florida and it has been fine untill last night. It did it again and now the running boards are not working auto. I tried to do a quick search, but I have to be somewhere a half hour ago, LOL so thought I would throw this up and see if anyone would offer some advice.
thank anyone and everyone.
The running boards were disabled by the truck as an attempt to save enough battery to start. You can go into the menu system and re-enable them. It sounds like you have an electrical issue if both batteries are discharged overnight.

You first clue was six months ago. Get new batteries, look for leaks on the originals.
By any chance did you install an aftermarket AMP for a sound system. Back when I had a Jeep, I installed an amp and connected it correctly. Something was wrong with the ADAPTER used to give RCA and Ignition PWR from the factory head unit and it was causing the AMP to stay On ALL the time instead of shutting off with ignition. It would cause my batts to die.
Yes, batteries are the first thing to check, have them LOAD TESTED, not just voltage tested, and they need to be tested individually, so at least one needs to be disconnected from the truck since they are interconnected, or you will get a false test reading.
Thank you all, just got back I actually stole the batteries out of my 99, B MAN was correct about disabling the boards had them going again before I left the drive. got back checked batteries with a fluke 1 at about 12 the other just under 9 and after trying to charge the lower one seems to stay the same. SMH 2 years and bad batteries. I was testing trailer lights and figured I had left it in Aux.,. but also figured the truck would have shut itself off after a bit.
Damn 2 more batteries, what is everyone running these days? Since I semi retired the 99 about 7 years ago I have had 4 new trucks so I havent had to worry about anything. Hurry up 2022 trucks LOL
I always replace batteries in pairs. Do not just replace one or you will be chasing problems until you finally replace both at the same time. From experience, 😳🙄🤑
Oh yeah, absolutely I do the same. figures I just looked it up 3yr 36k mile, I have twice that in mileage, LOL Might just leave the batteries out of the old 99 in there until i decide if I am going to get a 22 or not.
