Good afternoon, I am new to these big trucks, just purchased my first F series from CarMax and had a quick question. I keep running little things that to be honest I think I have to take to Ford, most are simple issues that do not concern me too much yet. But I was going through the crew cab and found this loose grounding wire. Can anyone tell me where it belongs, or should I be heading to the dealer? I found one end bolted to the cab, but the other end is flailing around.
It's a welding cable. Says so right on it. Solid copper. Worth a couple bucks. Take it out yourself or the dealer will charge you to remove it because it wasn't installed by the factory and isn't a warrantable defect.

Thank you
Most likely a grounding wire for an amp, I imagine there is prob a 12v hot wire somewhere around there as well.
Someone had a big amp or big inverter, I'm guessing amp.
Are you sure that is grounded ? confirm that it isn't live, and look for the other lead.
You might want to check at the battery, a cable that size should have been hooked up directly to the battery.
Definitely not factory, something added for some reason, maybe a power inverter.
There is an inverter next to it, I was chatting with my brother and he thinks maybe a second battery. The wire is connected to the chassis so it would just need a hot lead and it would be good to go. I am either going to remove it or tape it off for the future.
Knowing that. I would double check the battery to see if there is a HOT lead somewhere else as well. When people trade in a vehicle they usually try to remove all their aftermarket stuff in a HURRY and will just yank things out. I've even done that on a few occasions. Its like Ooooo ummm I forgot my parking sticker on the windshield let me go get it. And boom pull out my amps, subwoofers, etc LOL.
