Picking up my 2021 F150 Lariat SCrew with 6.5 bed this week. Wondering what everyone's favorite tool box is? Or tool box and tonneau cover combination? I live in the rainy northwest and would like somewhere dry to store a few tools...not a ton and not worth a lot so I don't need to spend hundreds extra for a super secure box. And perhaps a way to have a dry truck bed to pick up a few bags of animal feed instead of putting in the back seat or taking a trailer.
If the tool box is unseen under the tonneau, you will have a lot fewer problems with people trying to break into it. Cheapest tonneaus are the rolling fabric kind. You normally get a few drips of water around the edges, but the bed stays mostly dry. better hard retractable kind are likely more waterproof, for a little more money.
How much stuff are you wanting to put in the tool box?
I ordered up one of these for my work pickup and really like it.
My personal pickup has a tool chest that sits under the tonneau cover. If you do a full chest I would get this tonneau cover: https://truxedo.com/deuce
