I feel like a thief
After about 6 years of living where I live, I got tired of seeing this gorgeous truck sitting on the side of the road every day. Decided to go take a look and boy howdy did I come away with a deal.
She’s a pretty unique old girl that I have lots of plans for. Wanna see if I can list all the descriptors in a single go? Let’s see.
She’s a fridge-white, rust-free long bed crew cab 4WD 85 6.9l-powered dually. How much, you ask?
$3000 with a clean title. What year is it again?

Lots of good stuff going on here. I’ve verified that everything works, and I even drove her home from the old guy’s house. Used to use’er to haul horse trailers to shows from his ranch.
it’s got a dealer-replaced crate motor in it (still has the stickers on it) and ZERO frame rust. I’m serious, there’s hardly even surface-level stuff. The bed is pretty dinged up inside as you’d expect for a truck that saw actual regular use, but there aren’t any rust holes, just surface level stuff. She sat for about 15 years after he picked up a new (in the mid-2000’s) powerstroke dually, which also happens to be fridge white. I dunno if dual tanks are standard on these trucks but this one has those too.
anyway, I work as a mobile welder so this truck will turn into a mobile welding rig. First, though, I’ll be getting her used to being driven again. Regular maintenance (fluid changes, brake pad/rotor/drum/shoe/soft hose, coolant, etc etc etc) have all been performed. Just needs new tires now.
future plans involve a turbo, exhaust brake, VERY slight lift (1-2”), slightly upsized tires, upgraded headlight harness, custom front bumper, and a custom flatbed with too many goodies and features to list here.
Edit: I should mention that she only needed a good pressure washing to clean up like that.
