I Need Some Flathead Parts Prices. I am going to the Ford Carlisle show to sell parts. My brother is bringing some flathead parts he's had for many years. He Collected them when he had his 53 F600 dump truck. He sold his 53 several years ago and he wants to sell these parts now. So I need prices so we know how much to ask.
Here is a partial list of what he has:
Oil pan
Oil pumps
Water pumps
Heads
Generator
Generator brackets
Flywheel
Intakes
Carbs
He also has a block, which is cracked, and a 4 speed tranny with the 2 speed shifter ****. He won't be bringing these but wants to sell them on Craigslist or Marketplace. So how much for these?
Thanks. We will price them to sell, but won't give them away.
I would have a look around when I arrived. If you want to move them it's going to matter if there are 25 other vendors with a similar pile of stock flatty parts. Where the blocks are cracked is going to matter. Some can be repaired. I sold mine by the pound at the recycler. Badly screwed up blocks aren't too hard to find so I wasn't keeping them around another 20 years just in case.

Here is a partial list of what he has:

Water pumps - $15 each in good shape
Heads - $20 pair for EAB, less for 8BA / 8RT, with no cracks
Generator - $20
Generator brackets - $10
Flywheel - $25 - $30 with good ring gear
Intakes - $10 with good generator guides
Carbs - varies

None of the parts you've listed are rare or in much demand.

That's what I was thinking from seeing them at local swaps but didn't want to comment with my limited experience. Those mostly aren't the parts that wear out. I scrapped a couple of about everything on this list because I knew they were hoarded as people try to find above average blocks and disassemble multiple motors in the process. I did sell some good rods and that was about it. If you happen to be looking for a particular carb they have value. I'd educate myself a little on the more desirable ones.
The bellhousing (if removed from trans) would actually be worth the most, maybe $100, because it has the flat V8 pattern with '53-on engine mounts. Someone wanting to go to a 5-sp or whatever would need that. You didn't list it, but the radiator fan is also unique and valuable if in good shape.
