Hi everyone. I just installed a 2.5 inch leveling kit on my 2020 f250 2wd. And new 35 inch tires. All was great until I did first uturn and realized in rubbing. When I looked underneath, it looks like I'm rubbing on my sway bar. I prefer to not use wheel spacers as I heard bad things about them and I can't afford offset wheels right now. Any ideas? Any way to move my sway bar? Or maybe an aftermarket swaybar made for this issue? I'll be towing a camper soon so I need to make tight turns. If offset wheels are my only safe option, how much offset do I need to clear the swaybar?
Turn the music up and drive.
Mine rub a little also. So, did my old truck. I just back off when I hear it. Of course if it causes big problems at a campground with your trailer or something then I guess you would have to address it. I think mine is rubbing on the front air deflector, I haven't bothered to check further into it. Good luck.
You’re probably only loosing a few percent of your turning radius. A little rub on the sway bar won’t hurt anything. I’d live with it if you’d rather save your money.
when I put 37s on my 4wd the rubbing started a couple of degrees before the limit. The rub was an irritation more than a real harm or impact on ability to turn tight.
I thought the smallest hub centric wheel spacers you could get that were 1) a quality made part, and 2) didn't require hacking off the stock wheel studs - were 2" spacers? I could be wrong.. I refuse to run spacers on a truck of this size, but I know others do it all the time. Just a matter of opinion personally.
I found smaller from Bora that were smaller and still hub centric. But im not sure if that will stop the rubbing on the sway bar. So if i go that direction, id stay with 2 inch and trim off what is needed if it rubs the wheel well area.
