1998 f150 XLT

Ok I recently got this f150 it’s got the V8 Triton 5.4 and it’s having some power issues and sputters a bit…here are the codes I get so I’m not sure where to start at P0171, PO135, PO155, PO303, PO174. I can put the pedal all the way to the floor going uphill it struggles…it doesn’t struggle as much on flat ground but still can put the pedal all the way to the floor and it won’t take off like it should. If I put my hand over the air intake for like 2 seconds it shuts off as well. I’m not sure where to start for checking the big issue please help!!!!

Here's a screen shot of your listed DTC's and a description of their meanings:

That image ^^^ was created using the Actron DTC lookup feature found here: https://actron.com/code-lookup

On the surface the codes aren't horrendously terrible, could be an easy and not too expensive fix. When/if these issues are resolved I'd run a fuel trim scan while driving your truck just to see how they're performing.

Good luck with this!

Check (replace) the rubber elbow at the back of the intake (see link below) as they regularly crack and rot. It is at the intake end of the PCV hose. Get some MAF cleaner and spray the MAF sensor, might as well clean the intake and throttle body while you're there. Check all other vacuum lines and rubber connectors for cracks and leaks. Pull the coil from cylinder 3 and switch it with another coil to see if the code moves to that cylinder.

How old are the plugs? Coils?

ok awesome will try all these tomorrow. As far as age I’m not sure on the age of the Infiniti in coils However I do have brand new ones the previous owner bought and SAID they needed to be replaced I know one was already replaced on there don’t think it was 3 (need t on look at a diagram to check) it was on the right side of the engine the others haven’t been replaced as he said he didn’t have the time. So I can just go ahead and replace those as well…which I planned to but idk how old plugs are so may just replace those while I’m at it.
