Flow Bench?

Let me elaborate a little more: Often enough each carberator has its own characteristics. Each motor has its own displacement. This means, that ideally, every caberator must be tuned/adjusted to meet its desired application. Ergo, a flow bench. This is simply a test stand which can simulate the volume flow conditions of a specific motor. It's an adjustable vacuum. This in turn, allows the tester to measure the pressure drop across the jets and diffusers and thereby select the correct jets to optimize carb setup.
Secondly, heads can be a pain. with a flow bench you can insure that each cylinder flows the same volume with the same head loss. This is high speed, in my opinion. I'm just not sure what the industry uses for controls and measurement devices.
I'll contribute more later,

Sorry I can't give you a more detailed answer, but I remember a few years back (5,6,7???) there was a series of articles in one of the performance mags on "how to build a flow bench". I think it was Hot Rod or Popular Hot Rodding. You might be able to find it with a search or through one of the mags websites. Hope this helps.

I just searched for "Popular Hot Rodding" and "flow bench" and voila. Faster than going into the basement to look for the back issues.
