Best Auto Trans Choice

Ok guys here is my problem. I have an 85 F-350 CC Dually with the 460 C6 and 410 rear. Mileage is bad and I run 4000rpm at 65 mph. What is the best transmission with overdrive I can install in this beast.

Check out US Gear OD unit. Replaces your C6 tail shaft housing.

At the $2500.00 price tag you will never recover the investment with the fuel savings.

I didn't catch that he was trying to get better gas milage, I thought he said he was trying to drop his rpm's. They can be picked up sometimes for a lot less on Ebay.

the price and problems of an e4od puts that out of place so the gear venders overdrive is basicaly your only option other than changing your axle ratios for street gears. the other option though cheaper but harder to do is put street gears in the truck and mount a standard tranny behind the c6 giving u the under/overdrive u want
