Hello, everyone. I have a 1954 that is finally finished; I'll be uploading some pics soon since I'll finally have time due to retirement.
My question is this: in place of the original cigarette lighter I want to install a 12V cigarette lighter power socket for use with GPS or whatever. Don't really have room to hang anything else below the dash on a bracket, etc. The sockets that I have found require a 1 1/8" hole, but it's looking to me that the hole in the dash is about 1".
Any suggestions as to a way I might be able to install one of the sockets in there?
