New sync update feature
So while driving my wife’s Lincoln today that has the same sync update (3.4.21020) as our trucks, you can now search while in motion. I was presented with a screen asking if I was a passenger. When I replied yes I was given access to the search function. I’ll try to verify it in my truck when I get a chance to confirm we also got the ability to search in motion.

i have the forscan change to nav in motion, so I can do that already, but it does put the red circle around the speed on nav, and adds a second decimal to the radio station numbers. If this works, then I could change it back... Keep us posted please.

I connected my truck to the wifi at the house and pulled it down using the automatic updates tab. You can also get it from Ford and install via thumb drive.

So I tested this today. The only way to search while in motion is with voice… if you want/need the ability to input destination while in motion, looks like Forscan is still the only way. Sorry if I got anyone’s hopes up.

The nav tv dongle lets this happen. You can also activate your cameras while in motion.

Just some advice for people contemplating the workarounds: If you use the NAV Camera interface - it interrupts the GPS signal to the truck, fooling the truck into thinking you are sitting still, which allows you to enter an address, select cameras to view, etc. This works just fine but if you are driving down the road viewing cameras or entering an address, the GPS is not updating while this is happening. When you return to the Home or Nav screen the GPS will be off from your current position. I have noticed that it can take 30 seconds or more for the GPS to re-locate the truck. That isn't a big deal when traveling on an Interstate but I don't recommend viewing cameras if you are actively using the GPS with turn by turn directions in a city environment. You will miss your turn because of the delay in signal re-acquisition.
If you enable the address entry ability in Forscan you don't have this problem - but you can't view the cameras in motion either.

I just tried to update, nothing.
Connected truck to house WiFi, excellent connectivity. Went into the settings on the truck, had it check for updates. Nothing.
Is there a specific procedure I'm not aware of?
