Interesting as I like your top pic better than with the hub covers🤷♂️
I run without the caps on my 2005 Dodge Ram Cummins as it looks way better. But on the Ford I just couldn't stomach it. If I would have taken the time to paint my hubs like I did on my Dodge, I might change my mind.
I didn't run them with my Methods. For one, no cutout on the fronts to get to the locking hubs. For two, they sent me 3 correct ones and one small one (I assume for a F150 or some such). I wasn't a fan of the looks anyways...
IMO running no center caps on the OEM wheels just looks like someone stole them off your truck. On aftermarket wheels, it can depend on the style of wheel, but a lot of them look better without the cheesy center caps that come with them. I haven't ran center caps on either of my aftermarket sets and personally prefer them that way. I did change out the factory front hubs for a black powder coated set of Warn premium hubs, which cleaned up the look between the front and rears (making them both all black).
No center caps for me on my KMC wheels. I painted the hubs semi-gloss and much prefer the look over the center caps. Plus I have access to my locking mechanism.
I am running them with my method's, I just used JBweld to keep the nuts from spinning on the inside incase I need to get in there if my hubs aren't locking

Why don't you just cut the centers out of the front caps?

you don’t even have to cut them with the methods, the cap is just held on with 3 Allen bolts but i like the look with the cap on. I just keep a Allen key in my glove box and just the caps comes off in about 30 seconds and I can put it back on when I am not using it. Otherwise you see the gray Ford hub
