Join The NRA's "Good Guys" List
The Brady gun-ban group is at it again. Faced with the prospect of the Clinton Gun Ban sun- setting, the Brady Bunch is engaging in a desperate fundraising campaign aimed at portraying the NRA as "extremist." Full page ads, recently placed in the New York Times, are not only full of fallacious drivel, emotional sensationalism, and outright falsehoods, but also state that NRA has "flat-out lost touch with the American people." The Brady Center’s extensive research must have overlooked the fact that NRA has four million "American people" as members and is the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization.
Desperately seeking relevance, the Brady Bunch has even launched an anti-NRA website which attempts to bash NRA as "blacklisters" for merely documenting the gun-ban advocacy of such "mainstream" American "luminaries" as Alec Baldwin, Michael Moore, and, lest we forget, Moon and Dweezil Zappa.
Duplicitous ads and imaginary "blacklists?" That’s some story.
Alternatively, to demonstrate the broad base of support for NRA and its legislative agenda, we have launched an NRA "Good Guys" List website. It’s a list of law-abiding Americans who support freedom of speech and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. We encourage you to stand up and be counted by adding your name to our "Good Guys" list. You don’t have to be an NRA member to join the list; you just have to believe in freedom. To visit the site and add your name to the list, please go to www.NRAHQ.org/goodguys.asp.
I thought it meant not shooting your foot off while popping the top on your next beer. Funny how a phrase can mean different things in seperate parts of the country.
Can you imagine if all gun owners joined the NRA? What is it...something like 22 million people? Someone would have to start paying attention. But trying to get the lazy off their butts before it's too late is another matter entirely.
Why is it such a small percentage of people even vote? Do people seriously NOT CARE what happens? I just cannot fathom why people are so apathetic when our freedom depends on all of us.
I am a gun owner, been hunting for a few years, and just got my pistol permit before it is to late. The only problem I have with the NRA is this: About 8 years ago I joined the NRA, payed my fee and waited. After about 6 months I got my card in the mail, but nothing else. Never got a magazine, a letter, NOTHING. The only thing I did get was a renewel notice. Now, I called them only to get the runaround, and was very disapointed. Do you think I renewed my script? NOPE. I have recently thought about it again, but I still have a bad taste in my mouth. Could this be one reason so many people do not want to join the NRA? I dunno, maybe I will join again, because I do love my guns and the right to have and carry them, but the NRA screwed me. Oh well, maybe somebody can change my mind. Until then, stay safe...Jay

I have never had a problem with any of my benefits from the NRA, nor have my many friends...send me your addy through e-mail and I will pay for your first year again, but you must promise to stay a member afterwards on your own...can you do that? I have done this for 15 other people and everyone has stayed a member. Don't complain...I'm handing you a solution here..waiting to hear from you.
