OK I must admit I am new to tow mirrors, but which one do you look in for backing up a dump trailer? I had an F150 and I could back this trailer up into my garage with only inches on either side using the mirrors. I know this F250 is longer by about a foot or so but it should not matter that much I would think.
I have tried looking in the upper mirror and then the lower, but the trailer always seems to be turning to much by the time I start to adjust it.
What am I doing wrong? I don't have back up assist because with my 150 I never needed it, I am starting to rethink that now.
If you put your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel and do your turning from there It's just like driving the trailer. Just take your time. If your hand is on top you will need to turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction. Takes practice
Thanks for the replies. I figured out if I extend my mirrors I ca see the back corners better and can use the top mirror. I guess that foot and a half longer is messing me up. I use the top of the wheel method mostly. When I try the bottom method it messes me up.
