I'm going to put new shocks on my 97 f-150 4x4. It has 110,00 miles on it. Was thinking about the Rancho RS5000 shocks? I don't have a big budget and these seem reasonable. Any experience with these shocks out there?
my buddy just installed explore pro es 9000's on his 00 superd duty- at summit racing- buy 3 get 1 free-
$35 a piece- lifetime warranty-very pleaseds with the improvement it made to his 50 k mile rs 5000 that came on his fx4 pkg-phil
I put Rancho RS5000 shocks on my 2001 SuperCrew because it was too bouncy with a small load in the box. The Ranchos firmed it up without giving a harsh ride. I found them on sale at Sears (they had to order them) for $47 each installed. I have no problem recommending the 5000s.
I also installed the pros on my 97 150 4x4. had a small issue in the front end but the manufacture corrected the issue with the correct shock.
Yes they can be a bit bouncy but I have found them to be better than o.e and excellent with a load in tow. Was think ing of adding a few sacks of sand to get the great ride all the time-
I installed Rancho 5000's. I think the ride has improved greatly. Firm, but not bouncy. I bought mine at Sears for $ 39.00 each on sale. I would recommend them.
