Forscan question

I’m new to forscan and I have a 2021 f350 lariat SBCC with nav. That being said I went into forscan and changed it to nav in motion my question is when I did that it worked great but now when it shows the speed limit for the road it has a red circle around it is this normal?and if it is can I change the nav to not show the posted speed limit

The nav in motion uses the codes for Europe. Discussed at length is the FORSCAN thread. There may an option in Sync to no display speed limits ont he nav page but I understand it doesn't suppress the limit notice on the hime screen.

You cannot change what is displayed for speed in the NAV system. The red circle is an artifact of the radio believing the vehicle is in Europe. You know, because it is safe to enter a destination while moving in Europe but terrifyingly dangerous to do the same in the USA. It's not like there might be a passenger who could be using the NAV system or something. Same thing with locking out cameras when in motion. Don't bother with the legal excuses. As long as cell phones exist there are plenty of distractions already in play to make that excuse anything but BS. Witness the fact that you can look at cameras while in motion on the new F-150s and other brands. It's not like it would be a nice safety feature to look at the camera on the back of your trailer before you make a decision to change lanes, right? Way too dangerous to look and verify all is clear before moving over.

I wish Ford would pull their heads out of their collective @$$es, pay attention to forums and users and just build quality vehicles.

Sorry - rant over. I'm tired of companies thinking they need to think for me to protect me from myself.

Does it have the red circle around the speed limit all the time, or only when you are exceeding the speed limit???

Speed limit display on the nav in my truck goes red when the limit is exceeded, but I have it set to only do that when the speed is 5 mph or more over.
Now, the radio/nav in my truck is aftermarket, so have no idea if you can change the speed limit setting in the Ford nav.

I would strongly recommend going to the ForScan thread sticky and read through the information pages. It explains it all there
