I was going to add a Start-X remote start to my 2017 F250, but got confused when I tried to unplug the OBDII connector. There was a box already added to the truck, I think it says “Smart data link connector”. Any idea what is is or does? Can I add the Start X behind it? Any help would be appreciated.

thats the module that makes it possible for obd2 devices to communicate with the trucks can bus. I pretty sure your remote start will have a t harness that will plug in to the back of it.
