The F350 is not a 66 and it's an aftermarket or homebrew conversion. There were no F350 4x4's in the 60's. Pretty sure the first factory F350 4x4 was 1979 and even then it was just on the single wheel pickup, not the dually, and used Dana 60 axles.
I like that a six is powering the truck. I have a 240 in my '65 F100. I just returned from a 178 mile Interstate I-40 round trip. Ran 70-75 the whole time. My buddy...Old28racer suggested I use T4 Rotella 15W40 oil. What a difference that is making. The block in my truck has 162,000 miles. Some of the lifters rattle if I leave my truck unused for a couple days. Not any more !! The T4 Rotella has zinc in it. This I know only because old28racer told me. My oil pressure was 50-55 with the 20W50 oil I used to use. Now with the T4 Rotella...I am getting 55-60 psi oil pressure.
Very cool truck there. Is it a '63 ? I ask b/c '63 is the first yr. that used yellow front turn signal lenses.
