There was a place that customized stuff in Orrville Ohio, close to where I grew up. Like the preceding generation of trucks that frequently had only a door lock on the passenger side, they didn’t want people getting out into traffic while parallel parked, hoping you’s slide to the curb side before exiting. That's interesting. My '62 doesn't have a lock on the drivers door. I always thought the door had been re-skinned and the lock was omitted. Maybe it was made like that.
