what do you fellows reccommend for a replacement power steering pump?

Find a Econoline van with the same motor and get the saginaw pump and bracket. Its an easy swap and you will love it. Did mine last year on my 95 with the 5.8. So quiet and works so much better

Is it a different/better pump, or just easier to find?

saginaw pumps are built by gm and are MUCH better than the ford pumps. higher flow and much quieter, but they only came on econolines
