Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I just bought a 94 F-150, 4x4, supercab, s/b, 5.0, AT. It has 95k mi. and is super clean.
What are the largest tires I can fit on this truck without alterations. Also, it's pretty sluggish when cruising with the O/D on; is this normal. Additionally, sometimes when I turn it on cold, the engine RPM goes up and down for the first 30 sec. Anything I should know about these trucks??
I had 32's with no clearance problems. Went back to stock diameter because the truck was gutless with that size. 5.0+E4OD+3.55+oversize tires+any load or grade=gutless. If you want large tires for looks, go ahead. If you work the truck or tow, forget it.
32s won't be a problem for ya at all, as far as fitment is concerned. If you're worried about your OD sluggishness, you can always go with some 3.73 or better would be 4.10 gears to keep you in your power band. Check out this site to see how the gears and tire size match up.
