Greetings all, been awhile since I last posted, have had too many issues with my 2017 F350 CC LARIAT Srw 6.7. Took delivery in 12 of 2016, upon delivery had pinched wire harness with electrical issues, starter grind issue, clearance lights leaking water into cab, defective tires, 6 of them, 2 defective batteries, steering stabilizer issue, running boards rusting through chrome, several other more minor issues, now with 40k miles just out of warranty, the headliner is coming undone. Dealer sez cant repair, must replace, due to brackets it mounts to are failing. The part price for new liner is 3k, have no idea what labor is, Ford has denied my claim, as has the dealer. In all fairness, until now most of these issues have been taken care of by Ford and my dealer. That being said, after all the issues I've had, the headliner issue is totally unacceptable. Especially with previous water leak. Oh yea, my horns failed also, at 35 k miles. I have a 1995 f250 I bought new with 350 k miles, the f-n horns still work. To spend this kind of money on these trucks and have this lack of quality and service after the sale, is unacceptable. My family has been die hard Ford customers since the 1950's, but if Ford doesnt make this truck right, I'm done with them, as is the rest of my family, and a lot of people I know are watching to see how this plays out. People who can afford to drive what ever they want, and might want to stay away from ford. Wondering if anyone elses headliner is failing?
I have a 2017 also, it had leaky cab lights along with many others on this forum. That really sucks about the headliner and $3k holy cow! My ESP wouldn’t cover the cab lights which really ticked me off. I understand the bitterness toward Ford though in your situation but please understand that this isn’t unique to Ford. My parents 2017 Honda Odyssey needed the fuel injectors replaced when they were less than 2k miles out of warranty and Honda wouldn’t help them out. You will hear these stories with every manufacturer however I know the feeling of telling one company to eff off and taking business elsewhere. I just wouldn’t expect anything different from the next guy.
Have you checked with an upholstery shop to see what they would charge?
With a list like that I do not think you will be happy with a new one.
to put it nicely if there is a way. you will be constantly looking to see if all the
same problems are fixed or not. It’s just the way we are wired.
Pick another badge move on and maybe consider ford again later on.

I have a 2017 6.7 I bought in July of 2017. The only issue I have had is the DEF sensor fault out at 70,000.
Wow that is a lot of issues. My 17 has been great, my only issue was cosmetic and the dealer took care of it. Mine was garage kept until this past winter when I got a second Jeep and that took over the garage bay where my truck parked. I'll be keeping an eye on my clearance lights now. We just had some serious down pours so I need to go out an check soon.
good luck with the headliner. I would think if you can tie it to the leak you have a leg to stand on, but Ford will most likely deny, deny, deny until you give up.
I too have a 2017 6.7 and have been thinking of getting another badge. My issues have been different, mainly the fuel system, leaky seals and multiple blown filters. I bought it in 2017 and for the first 30k had rare issues. However the last 2 years it's been in the shop about every 3-4 months. Ford sells a ton of diesel superdutys but doesn't expand their diesel service department enough to keep up with timely service to their customers. Its usually a 1-2 week wait for them to even look it it. This is unacceptable for those of us who use it as a daily driver since warranty only covers 4 days of rental coverage. With the $$ spent on this rig, I expected better quality. Which leads me to the point, I have been exploring the competition. The more i read and talk to people,, the more i learn that other brands have issues as well. It seems that i would be trading in my familiar issues for a set of unfamiliar ones since all i know is ford. Right now I have decided to keep it since its paid off and would like to enjoy some time without a payment.
I feel for your headliner issue. My warranty wont cover my fuel system issues because they decided it was due to bad fuel. Ford neglected to consider my complaints that they had missed the fuel filter change interval, TWICE.
on a side note, my running boards are a rusty mess. Did the dealer wsrranty yours? Thanks
Just a FYI the headliner is held in by magnets. There are metal steel brackets screwed to the roof of the truck and the headliner has steel brackets integrated in to it and there are high power round magnets that snap it all together. Maybe one of the magnets fell out 🤷🏻♂️ Worth a check.
Thanks all, gonna see what Ford does with this, if they dont come through I will take it to a custom shop to see what they can do for me, wont be paying Ford to fix it.
Hey yall, after much back and forth, and some run around from Ford, my dealer took more pics, and some how managed to get Ford to pay to replace my headliner. I am hoping this is the last of my issues with this truck.
Hey yall, to anyone who has followed this, Ford has paid to replace my headliner, local dealer got it done this week, I remain a DIEHARD Ford guy, and hope this is the end of my problems with this truck.
