1994 F150 2wd 5.0: Starts fine when cold.but after running even for a short time it starts hard: just turns and turns then fires up and runs great no roughness at all.
About month ago this started suddenly after a fill up of both tanks at a less than desrieable place, I first thought about moisture in the tank, but I put in gas dryer and gas treatment and refilled tanks to no avail, I'm wondering if may be I've gotten alot of solid crap in my fuel filter causing this? someone else on here had the same type problem and they were advised to change the tps, any imput as to what I should do? should I pull the codes, will there be any if the check engine light isn't on?
This is getting very agravating! Thanks!!!
Ive got a 1989 with a 5.0 auto, and it did the same thing, there is one of two things it could be, either the starter is going, or the timing on the truck is way off like mine was.
he says it starts fine when cold though.
so. might be timeing.
or timeing belt stretching after running?
my truck likes to start a lil hard after stalling, or if i turn it off while moveing.
yeah mine would start fine when cold too, but after it warmed up and i shut it down it would take and not want to start very well and then all of the sudden it would start, well the timing fixed that. now all ive got to do is figure out why it is spuddering and coughing when it warms up... i think its either o2 sensor or the evp... but im not sure
