Another option (which is what I'm going to do on my highboy) is Advanced adapters makes a NP435 compatible splitter. Goes between the bellhousing and transmission. Runs about $1400 IIRC
I've thought of this but I'm worried it might not survive the tq the diesel will make.

On the website they list a max torque rating of 420 ft lbs, which from what I know should be under what most run-of-the-mill 4bts make, but that is a good point to keep in mind.

Stock it would be fine but once I get every thing running and sorted. it won't stay stock long a turbo upgrade and some pump work and these are tq monsters.

Mine was $1700 to the door about a year ago.
With that said you may want to check with AA if they still making them.
When I ordered mine was just as this virus hit and the job slow downs started. Because of that it took longer for me to get mine.
Shortly after I got mine installed and running a member posted they were not making them.
Now it could be they were not taking orders so they could catch up on back orders, I hope, or there just was not a demand for them and they have stopped making them.
I do love mine behind a 300 six and in front of a NP435 in a 81 4x2 Flare Side.

ps: if my 300 was to go bad I would love to do a 4BT swap
