I'm camped at a dispersed site tonight (west of Spokane, WA) and probably for the next couple of days. The site itself is nothing to get excited about other than it's A) not too far from the interstate, B) it's free and C) there's a lake nearby I can hike to for fishing. It's very peaceful and quiet here. There's a nice breeze and I can hear the birds singing. But it's a Thursday night. I suspect that my peace will be shattered in 24 hours when the weekend crew shows up. There's an area nearby where folks are doing target practice. I might have to wander over there and go through a box of 9mm. I need to practice shooting with my left eye since I can't use my right eye any more.
I filled up with fuel at the last exit in Idaho before crossing into Washington. The price of diesel was around $1 more per gallon in WA version ID. I wish I had a transfer tank. I would have filled the transfer tank to the brim, so I didn't have to pay the exorbitant fuel prices in OR and WA.
Hiked 8 miles yesterday to get to the nearby lake. I hiked to the lake once just to make sure I could get to the water from the trailhead where I was camped. Then a second time to actually fish. I caught three small Rainbow Trout and threw them all back. The only thing they would bite on was bright green Powerbait. Picky little buggers given the other bait that I tried that usually works. Since they were small and probably stocked from a fish hatchery, I should have tried the Fish Hatchery Pellet flavor of Powerbait but I didn't bring it in my pack.
Side trip today without the camper to see Tim Young at his house and got the full tour: Donkey Odie, the extensive orchards/gardens, machine shop and, most importantly (other than Tim himself), the Bronco. Odie is almost as friendly as Tim. Odie got a few scratches and Tim got none. We (Tim and me, not Odie) had a nice fish and chips lunch in town and watched all the whacky tourists walk by. The drive was interesting. There were miles and miles of orchards along the way. I've never seen so many orchards. I didn't stop at any of the fruit stands since Tim gifted me with some apples from his cold cellar.
Well you’uns don’t look too shabby!! Thanks for the pics Jim! Enjoy your trip! Is this the first time you two have gotten together since the big G2G between Yellowstone and Grand Tetons in 2019?

Yes, this is the first time Tim and I have seen each other since 2019. He doesn't look a day older.
Attending Doctors Egan (son and daughter-in-law) are now Attending Doctors Egan. The baby is still the baby and she was well behaved throughout the whole graduation program. The doctors are off to fellowship programs in Texas this month. I'm doing what I can to get their house here ready to put on the market.
Congratulations Jim and kids, Thanks for doing a side trip on your journey to come out to visit and check out my place.
I was very happy to make that trip. The area you live in is beautiful! The apples you gave me were great! Thankis for that, I didn't have much in the way of fruit on this trip. I don't think the lime in my gin & tonic counts.
Camp is setup on the east side of Mount Hood. This boondocking spot was picked because it was level left/right, easy to get into and, most importantly, I could see Mount Hood out of the window. This spot is for just one night. It's quite a detour to get to but it's such a great spot I had to do it.
The mighty Super Duty gets me where I want to go.
My son's in-laws finally left early this morning so I got some one-on-one time with my granddaughter.
