Where is a 1995 Ford F250 transmission control module located? Pretty positive that is what it is, but can't find where it is located. Any ideas on where to find the actual part for sale? As soon as I think I have found it, is says does not fit.
If your truck has a computer controlled trans a single PCM controls both engine and trans, it is located in the drivers side kick panel and is accessed from the engine bay by disconnecting the engine wiring harness.
I assume diesel trucks have the PCM in the same location as gas trucks in this era? Seems like 1994 and earlier IDI diesel trucks had a transmission controller mounted near the driver side inner fender.
The engine computer also controls the transmission. Did you run the KOEO tests and Stored Code display before replacing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)?
