Flathead oilpan

I have a 51 F1, V8 with an 86/87 Jaguar xjs front end welded in, with the front of the frame boxed.
At the moment I'm playing with the idea of using the flathead motor and transmission. The motor mounts have been trimmed and put back in place, but not welded.
Now I find that the front of the oilpan hits the steering rack. I need about two more inches of clearance. I don't want to move the engine back and then (if it doesn't hit the firewall) have the added frustration of shortening the drive shaft, and moving transmission mount crossmember.
Question,
Does anyone know if there is another oilpan which will fit?
Thanks for any answers.
Geoff.

All V8 oil pans (car or truck) are the same at the front, only the sump location changes (center or rear).

Ross,
Thanks for the reply. My truck seems to have a central sump, but its the front of the pan that touches.
If I do decide to move the engine back (and move the transmission mount, shorten driveshaft etc) could you tell me
how much room there is between the flathead and the firewall? Looks like I need about two inches.
Thanks.
