Zf5 to 400 help
Has anyone here done a ZF5 to a 400 match up?
if so what flywheel and clutch set did you use?
Back story I finally decided to do the ZF5 upgrade on my 1978 F250 with a 400 motor. The 5 speed is out of a 93 F250.

There is a thread about it. The search function isn't working right now, so I'll come back tomorrow and see if I can find it for you.
There are a couple of issues with the "depth" due to block and crank flange differences.

TMeyer/TrackBoss makes a kit for you. They have talked about making specific flywheels in the future but are developing other products right now (cast iron aftermarket Cleveland block for one.) Track Boss Products – ZF-5 Transmission Adapter Kit – 351M/400 (tmeyerinc.com)

This is the thread. It's a long and winding road thread. Read the first couple pages, then go to page 48 & 49. You will see how that kit in post 3 came to be and how it's the most direct route to a 5er behind a 400.
